Author Blogs: Women Group Blog

Featuring the group author blog of Anderson, Cameron, Foster, Krentz, Lowell, and Simmons

Oct 18, 2006 Leslie Poston

When authors are pressed for time their author blogs suffer for it. These women have found a solution: group author blogging.

What do Susan Andersen, Stella Cameron, Lori Foster, Jayne Ann Krentz, Elizabeth Lowell, and Suzanne Simmons have in common? A group author blog, of course!

When it became clear that they just didn't have the time to maintain 6 individual blogs for their readers, these innovative women decided to band together and blog as a group. They came up with a great blog look, an animated signature graphic for each of them, and author shots that matched the blog.

They each write in the group blog when they can, and between the six of them there is always fresh content for their readers to read. Their blog walks a fine line between personal blog and author marketing, yet somehow they make it work.

Each author has already found their stride in the types of posts they make. In a way, hearing the different author topics and voices makes this blog just that much more fun to read, since you never get the same thing twice.

Several of the women also kept their personal blogs, like Jayne Ann Krentz, but they have disclaimers up about why they don't post enough to keep the cobwebs out and where you can read their fresh new group blog effort.

Their group blog is called Running With Quills, and it is well worth a read.
