Don't you love the anticipation when an author you love has a new book coming out? I do! Here are some upcoming titles from some of my favorite authors this season.

Don't you love the anticipation when an author you love has a new book coming out? I do! Here are some upcoming titles from some of my favorite authors this season:

Two of my favorite mystery/thriller authors, Jonathan and Faye Kellerman, have chosen to write a double novella together. The book will be called Capital Crimes and is the sequel to their other collaboration, Double Homicide. If this book is half as good as the first collaboration, I'm excited to read it. Get your own copy here. Read a review here. Hopefully Sandy over at Suite 101's Mystery/Crime section will be reviewing it for the holidays.

Nicholas Sparks turns up with his newest book, Dear John, the story of the unlikely love between a soldier and a peace loving volunteer. Get your own copy here.

James Patterson delivers more of his solid writing style with his newest book, Cross another Alex Cross installment. Get your own copy here. Read Sandy's review here.

Thomas Pynchon's newest novel, Against the Day, is his first novel since his 1997 success Mason & Dixon. Get your copy here.

Stephen King branches out from his usualy macabre fare with Lisey's Story, inspired by his real life brush with death by mini van. Get your own copy here. Read Sandy's review here.

Carl Hiaasen brings us Nature Girl another tale form his off-kilter and creative mind. Get your own copy here. Read Sandy at Mystery / Crime fiction's review here.

Tony Hillerman continues his Leaphorn/Chee series with The Shape Shifter, available here.

Of course, as we showcased with our preview, you can also find Dean Koontz's newest novel on the shelves, Brother Odd. See the article section for where to buy this one.

This is just the tip of the iceberg this holiday season. With novels also coming from Nora Roberts, Cormac McCarthy, and a new Hannibal installment, reading is good these days!

Happy Reading!
