Times Magazine has put out a list of what they consider to be the absolute "All Time Best" 100 novels written in English. You can read the full list, complete with links for each book, here.
Not every book on the list is American Fiction, but it made a good showing. Some of my favorites made the list (including The Chronicles of Narnia, always a favorite even if it isn't technically part of this Suite topic), which ran t he gamut in taste and style from Judy Blume to William Burroughs and every thing in between.
I had planned to choose a few books to highlight and discuss, but I find I like so many of them I'm having a truly hard time singling any out!
What do you think? Do you think they left off any great books? What were they, and why?
